If you live in an area where your pet is exposed to long cold winters it is best to be prepared for the season. Many smaller dogs can have trouble adjusting to the normal duties of going outside for potty time due to the cold. Be understanding of the situation, if you have to image what it is like for you to go outside with no socks and shoes on during the cold snowy days. They are taking information of of reputable websites and copying that information and making it look as if they are the actually breeder that has the original site. This is affecting your business and will ruin your reputation. Scam artists are relentless and they use dog breeder sites often to take money as payment for a dog they do not actually have for sale. In doing this they can and are using your business name and taking your business.
It is a simple way to steal all your referral business, your website traffic that is not directly routed to your site as well as make your reputation on the internet collapse. Guarding yourself from this type of fraud is not easy and will take time and an investment with a good network. Making sure your domain is an actual domain will assist you as well. It is worth the monthly investment to host your site with reputable places to insure you do not have a sub domain as your address. Many referral sites will take the money from people and make you look like the scam artist. It is just as easy to be branded a scam artist as it is to be branded a good breeder. Online breeders cannot be protected when they are not networking with each other and coming together to help each other for the greater good of keeping the internet as safe as possible.

Missouri's Proposition B... Are You Serious!?!

Is it me or is the governmental policies that are wasting tax payers money getting more and more ridiculous. What is it that we need to do as people, who are hard working individuals trying to generate money into a failing economy, to get these politicians to understand that they are just wasting more dollars day after day. These acts are simple and just plane unacceptable no matter where you are. Biased business practices, unreal expectations placed on small business owners and to top it all off just one more way to make an honest hard worker make less money in a failing economy sounds like pure political suicide.
Missourian need to vote no on Proposition B and simply put Missourians need to fight for the right to keep free enterprise free. No other area of small business owners are restricted in such a manner and no other states should follow suite with such vulgar acts of demolishing income for the state. If Missourians let this Proposition B pass it can affect many other states and will cause an even larger issue in the United States Economy. Taking even more dollars out of the hands of the general middle class. This will cause oceans waves of detrimental economic failures and could be a breaking point in the teetering economy and not one that will induce survival of the recession.

I have been dealing with breeders for a few years now and it never ceases to amaze me that many breeders are the most wonderful and caring, as well as loving and dedicated people. I know many breeders who would easily give their shirt off their back for you. It also never ceases to amaze me that some breeders are rude, and so full of negativity that I cannot fathom anyone would purchase a dog biscuit from them let alone a puppy. I never wish harm upon anyone, and never treat anyone with disrespect, even when what they are offering is something I do not want. I am not looking at the world through rose colored glasses and I also do not believe that everyone should be smiling all the time. I do however believe that no one should ever be treated with disrespect. No ones hard efforts should ever be disregarded as trash and be disrespected.
Many times in this business I have seen friend after friend and business associates as well be disrespected. Many breeders with big hearts have been taken advantage of time and time again, and I am often torn between the good angel on my one shoulder and the devil on the other. I often hear the devil whisper in my ear to retaliate and "do unto others as the have done unto me" instead of "do unto others as you wish to have done unto you". It is hard to sit and watch these things and not post negative remarks about the people who are doing harmful things to me or my friends and business associates. Often I want to write articles or blogs speaking negatively about them and their actions and then I stop and realize that this would make me just like them. As tempting as it is to fight fire with fire it is best to meet these actions with the high road as the proper road to take and just turn the other cheek. It will be paid forward and one day they what they have given will be paid forward to them.

Exciting News From United Online Breeders

Recently our staff has started development on our sister sites. We have a great new site that is strictly a directory for breeders to be placed in that are active breeders who have been verified. We also have two registry sites that will be coming as well. We have a registry site that will be geared towards hybrid/designer breeds which we will need some of our breeders expert assistance with as well as our pure breeds registry. Simply put we want to level the field in some arenas and we will need all of our breeders expert experience. Shortly those of you who have opted into the the email list will be receiving an email asking you if you want to participate in this panel of advisers either by mail or by phone conference.

The dog industry is at a very important pivot point in our society and it is often times split right down the center. We want to be there to provide the best possible alternatives around for all our breeders. If you have any suggestions we strongly urge you to participate in one of the advisory panels. This is also a great way to meet other breeders such as your self and get to know the founder of UOBC. Grace will be conducting all the panel meetings and it will all start through email while she gathers important information from our breeders. She will be working hand in hand with all our breeders and she is looking forward to getting to know more of you one on one. A "cyber dog" is much easier to handle and if your new online pet makes it through your lifestyle then a real puppy has a better chance. Yes we are aware that people dealing with a pet that is a pet video game is not the exact same thing. We do however know that with all things if you can find a way to make an online pet survive and treat it as if it were a real puppy then you will have a better understanding of how much work you will have going into getting a new puppy.
